Christmas

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!

Charlie REFUSED to go near Santa. I don't blame him. I was extremely disappointed. This year's Santa that we went to was horrible. I would even go as far as saying he was a huge JERK. Joshua didn't seem to notice so that's good.

Christmas Eve the kids and I went to the Christmas service at our church. Joshua was so bored he was beside himself. I thought it was wonderful. Lots of music. Thank God they had a childcare room for Charlie's age set up! Last Sunday was a "Family Service" at church. I don't think I ever heard what the pastor was saying. I did manage to hear that the Sunday service before Christmas is the only one without childcare for the year. I'll be sure to skip that one next year! :-)
Christmas Eve night the boys got to open a present. I always got new jammies and wanted to do that for my kids too.

This was the setup they woke up to on Christmas morning! I loved being Santa.

Joshua got a nerf dart gun that at first wasn't working properly. I caught Brandon staring down the barrel which made me give out a rather loud chuckle. He laughed too when he realized what I was laughing at.

I got both the boys their very own bibles. Charlie was showing his to Brandon.

It took Charlie a few minutes to understand that now it was ok to touch and open the presents. Once he got the hang of it he went to town.

One of my mom and dad's gifts to themselves was getting us a webcam! Now they can see us and the kiddos. They had me go pick it up before Christmas so they could watch us on Christmas morning.

It's Falon! She's going through a major growth spurt. Not only is she growing out of clothes left and right, she's also doing new things every day. Now she can reach out and grab things and put them in her mouth. She's starting to chuckle and trying to sit up. Won't be long before I'm taking her picture in her prom dress!

And that's our Christmas story!!!

I just have to share a few more things.
I've discovered Falon loves riding on my back when I do housework. She'll be absolutely silent for up to 2 hours! She's such an easy baby anyway I hardly need to keep her happy, but between her and Charlie I need a little help sometimes. Lol. ;0)

This is what we call Falon's boo face. It's the warning before the meltdown.
Isnt' she adorable?

That's it for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful (and safe) New Year's Eve and Day. I'll be updating again soon to give our new address and maybe show some pics of the house we're moving to. Oh yeah, by the way, we're moving! That info coming soon....

This is the necklace my Grandma and Grandpa sent me. Not for xmas, but because they wanted me to know I'm special to them! My heart welled up.

My Grandpa did all the silversmithing. He MADE this cross for me. He DUG UP the stone with his very own hands. He cut it and polished it and lovingly placed it on the cross he made. Words can't explain how much I will forever cherish this.

Here you can kinda see some of the flecking in the stone. It has gorgeous blues and greens throughout. It's called a Spencer Opal. My Grandpa dug it up in Spencer, Id.

And here I'm wearing it!!!
Falon was happy to see her daddy tonight. They really adore each other.
Not long before Brandon got home tonight I heard a weird hissing noise coming from the basement. Upon investigation I discovered our hot water heater was spraying water in all directions from everywhere. This was the topper on a not so wonderful day, so getting my special gift made me feel like the grinch.
My heart grew three sizes today! I truly love the holiday season!
Love to all.

and more pics

It's been freezing here in Colorado lately. Today our high is only 17 degrees! Joshua loves gearing up to play in it.Peaceful in her crib.

Falon's finally getting some chubba to her!

I can't choose just one pic of Falon right now. I have to post a bunch!

My sad attempt at decorating for Christmas. Charlie just won't let anything stay the way it is, thus the gate. Pay no attention to the mess. :-0

Aww. This is her "pick me up" face.

"what mom? I'm watching Blues Clues!"

Charlie loves her. Sometimes too much, but he means well.
Hope you liked these! More coming soon....

November Pictures

Trying to play catch up. Here are some recent pics...
If you look closely you'll see Falon's first manicure!

Below: Thanksgiving Day
This is how I was able to cook all day.

Charlie (and Jeremiah behind him) watching a baby einsteins video before bed.

Hopefully this works...

OK. So my last attempt at an easy way for friends and family to see updates and pictures of our family failed miserably. This is my new attempt!

The Hamm/Alvey/McMahan Family Blog seemed a little outrageous. I decided to go with McMahan...it's the kids' name and Brandon and I are both working towards having it. The way that it sounds makes it hard for some to spell, (sounds like mac-muh-han; not mic-man) so "seethemacs" seemed easy enough. At least I hope so. I really want a better way to keep in touch with all the people we know across the country.

Feel free to leave comments. I love to hear from you!

Love to all,
the macs
